Nathan Laube Organ Recital at Zion Church Baltimore

The Zion Church St. Cecelia Fund and the Eric W. Gritsch Memorial Fund partnered to sponsor the recital at Zion Church of Baltimore held on Sunday, November 10, 2019.

Nathan Laube Organ Recital at Zion Church Baltimore

We were honored to welcome internationally acclaimed organist and teacher Nathan Laube who performed a solo organ recital on the Patrick J. Murphy organ in Zion’s sanctuary.

Nathan Laube Organ Recital at Zion Church Baltimore

We are grateful to Zion Church Organist John Heizer and Patrick J. Murphy and Associates for co-sponsoring Mr. Laube’s appearance at Zion.

Adlersaal Reception

Immediately following the recital, a gala reception, sponsored by the Eric W. Gritsch Memorial Fund, was held in the Adlersaal, Zion’s historic parish hall.

Zion Church Organ

This recital marked the fifth anniversary of Zion’s organ, restored and dedicated in 2014.  It was also a most fitting way to commemorate the November 10th birthday of Martin Luther, known for his great love of music.  Dr. Eric Gritsch, the internationally known Luther scholar, brought the reformer to life through his teaching and writing, and at the traditional Lutherfest celebration at Zion Church.
